Russian part of the comic
Dogs played a big role and had different purposes in WW2.
They were used to drag wounded men to aid stations, carry messages in battle and pulling telephone lines from one location to another, when it was too dangerous to send men. Some dogs were used to locate mines and hidden booby traps. Dogs are excellent in tracking a scent, so they were also used in tracking enemy troops. Sometimes dogs were sent into battle and they were fighting among people.
All in all, if it wasn't for man's best friend, people would have hard times.
